Was looking for a book that introduces the history of networking and the internet in general, and found this one about how the Internet started with Arpanet (1970-1990). It explores the people and reasons behind the internet, how networking protocols came into existence as well as early fights over standards. I started apreciating the importance of studying history behind technologies more and more after learning about the evolution of HTTP from version 1, to 1.1, to 2 and then 3. Seeing the problems that existed and led to revising protocols helps with developing a deep understanding. Let's see if this book delivers.
